The Good Shepherd Center was founded in 1906 and was a school that provided over 60 years of service to young women seeking shelter, education, and training. The GSC houses many non-profit organizations and community based programs.
Residents in Wallingford painted a giant lady bug at the intersection of Burke and 49th Street in hopes of cutting down traffic, bringing the community together and creating a sense of neighborhood.
Meridian Park is right at a busy intersection off of 50th and Wallingford Ave, but with the unique rock wall entrance and shrubs surrounding the park you wouldn’t even know it once you get in there.
