Meridian Park is right at a busy intersection off of 50th and Wallingford Ave, but with the unique rock wall entrance and shrubs surrounding the park you wouldn’t even know it once you get in there.

Tucked away in the Seattle neighborhood of Mapleleaf, The Reservoir (or the Rez to locals) has been a fixture of this quiet North Seattle hood for years. Featuring an outside beer garden in back, a stellar long shuffleboard table, pool tables, greasy food and well drinks that’ll put hair on your chest.

Okay, this wasn’t taken in North Seattle, but close by 2 hrs north up in Vancouver B.C. during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Seeing all the athletes was incredible and the energy in the air was amazing. It was a very inspirational and memorable experience.

Woodland Park’s Off Leash Area is very popular for resident canines. It is a two-acre sloped area with benches and a doggie drinking fountain. It’s located west of the tennis courts at Lower Woodland Park.
